Covid is unavoidable. The primary mask study outcomes should have always been infection severity, given infection. In my opinion. Masks could reduce the initial viral dose, and hence severity. And they humidify the lungs, which could fight infection also. On the other hand, masks could make infection more severe according to the "Foegen effect":

Could be whole other question looking at date of mask mandates and correlating with IFR.

There’s a video I watch a while ago now of a ventilation, mask expert. It was in America, not sure which state but he had over 25yrs experience and his knowledge showed up the masks mandates for the shambles, they were and still are.

He’s on the record stating how the masks are tested for efficiency by sticking them down to a board, which is not only not realistic it’s actually conning the public about the performance benefit.

His expertise prior to covid had been used in schools, hospitals, offices, any building you could think of, he said good working ventilation was paramount in buildings with people mixing, working together, air quality made sure people didn’t get ill and he stood by this same principle when he was asked about stopping covid spreading.

What I’d like to know is how they know covid strands are extremely minute to the point that up too a hundred million strands can fit on the size of a pin head. With this knowledge how exactly could they promote the facade that anything other than a full suited mask with oxygen tank attached could stop infection or spread of anything that is as contagious as the public were led to believe.

From my own personal experience I believe the masks caused problems and infections that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. As we didn’t know what we were dealing with at the start, I was the lifeline for my mum who was late 70’s and my sister and nephew who is immune suppressed for their shopping.

I lasted two weeks wearing a mask until I decided there was no way I was wearing one anymore, I came to the conclusion that there’s no way they’re good for your health. I say this as someone who had pneumonia 15yrs ago, I wasn’t treated correctly early enough, amoxicillin didn’t and still doesn’t work on me and I ended up in hospital on a drip on two kinds of industrial antibiotics, which caused kinds of havoc and was minutes away from being sent to the icu due to blood pressure being 85 over 47 and going into organ failure. Within hours my body fought back and turned me from the bright yellow banana colour I’d become back to my pale and interesting. The lesson I learnt was the body is the most truly complex healing machine given the chance.

Months later after my follow up X-rays the doctor told me they didn’t expect me to live never mind recover and the X-rays in front of him were a miracle. I was 37years old when this happened to me with a one and a two year old that I was determined I wasn’t leaving and I’ve had no repeat and can count on one hand how many times I’ve needed or seen my gp, it was actually a joke last year that I hadn’t seen one of them for six years.

Fast forward to 2020 to the unknown and full on promoted hysteria and all of a sudden I have a pain in my right lung that I’m familiar with but haven’t felt in over a decade, all whilst wearing a mask.

Twice I’m out shopping and twice I have this pain that I do not have when I’m not wearing one so I ditched the masks.

While the masks may have been fine for some, I’ve no doubt they caused problems and damage in others.

What I’ve found horrifying from this whole experience is witnessing treatment being denied where early treatment is crucial for recovery as survival, this is more so in the elderly of our population.

It makes me so angry that hospitals were stood empty while people suffered, we’ve had countless deaths that could have been prevented and it’s about time we the public had answers and those who made and enforced them were held accountable.

The gaslighting of the public has been no less than criminal and I will never stop calling out how people died of neglect and lack of treatment which at any other time would have not have happened universally.

Now that is some comment! Many thanks indeed for sharing, for you have summarised what many of us are feeling. I avoided masks because of lung issues going back to childhood but what made my blood boil (and still does) is seeing old folk scared shitless such that they are living in fear in a mask 24/7. If this isn't evil I don't know what is.

As for that video I think you are referring to the testimony of Stephen Petty, a PPE professional, that was given before the New Hampshire Senate for Health and Human Services. I understand that such testimonies are given under oath, so this is no small potatoes.

John Dee thank you and sorry it’s so long winded. As someone who has stood at the other side of the fence, having experienced delays in treatment I’ve been screaming since this whole debacle started. If I never hear protect the Nhs from being overwhelmed and I would have been worse without the vaccine one more time, it will still be one time too many. Trying to talk some sense to family members over the nonsense and break the mass formation psychosis is hard work and draining, they admit the government lies, yet believe the lies they’ve been told about this gobbledygook, it’s been like banging my head against a brick wall.

My mother eventually broke free when she was damaged after her booster last winter, it took her a couple of months after it happened to process and work out what had happened, she got off lightly compared to a friend who ended up with migraines and a racing heart, she’s had to close up her business as she not able o work as she did before. Another friend ended up having shingles and a neurological problem as well after her jabs.

I’m so sick and angry how they’re sweeping everything under the carpet as if these people don’t matter or exist. I’ve found those who have been fine with the jabs are not interested in the truth about those who were not so lucky. We need answers I’m case everyone who has taken them is a ticking time bomb of future problems so we know how to help and treat them, ignoring the issues is not going to make them go away.

As for the masks, yesterday a work colleague brought up that they admired that I’d stood my ground and stuck to my principles and beliefs in not taking the jabs. It was out of the blue and I was a bit taken aback, she said I was right and they’d been lied too and conned into taking it. She was really ill when she caught it, where I just had a sore throat.

She did however bring up how it was worse for going around since people stopped wearing masks. I explained how they couldn’t possibly work to which, her reply was they made her feel better. I said for her she was wearing a visible comfort blanket and she was happy with that. It’s literally astounded me how easily peoples critical, logical thinking can be manipulated and removed.

What I really don't get is this:

I am pretty sure from some of their articles that Carl Heneghan and Tom Jefferson are moving towards the position that you and I now think is highly likely in relation to the core narrative claim and as I describe in this comment:

https://jdee.substack.com/p/died-suddenly-an-explanation/comment/10787692

If that is the case, why are they wasting their time with this kind of bullshit and irrelevant question?

Same goes for their series on "transmission".

Masks to prevent exactly WHAT?

Riddle over the transmission of WHAT?

It's just so bizarre IMO.

These same thoughts have been running through my mind. In the beginning Heneghan was a giant killer but he's not following through as I had expected of him. One of my subscribers quite rightly let off steam, and I had to agree that academics with a degree of clout shouldn't be fiddling with inconsequential meta analyses and notions. With the tide turning in our favour it's time to slice a foot off this beast rather than manicure a toenail.

p.s. I've penned a short piece called 'Iatrogenesis' that will be coming out 7am tomorrow, in which I point folk to your work and that of Joel. When I can settle I'll be turning the handle on some models that should support this.

Here’s another “so what” piece.

Do you think they’re simply scared of the implications of looking at evidence of “spread of a novel deadly virus” so they’re just avoiding it, or what?

Ta muchly. I was expecting to be taken on an exciting journey with this article but we really didn't leave the station. I recall my first question back in March 2020 and that was, "why is our postman still alive?" Two months later I asked, "why has our postman not taken a day off sick and why hasn't he tested positive?", followed by, "why are the same smiling cashiers still operating in Tesco and why hasn't the airline industry collapsed through disease?" Nothing made sense and still doesn't unless you question the core narrative of a spreading novel and deadly virus, but I guess such questioning is utterly taboo for those whose reputations would be shattered. Then there's the Pandora's box effect - all sorts of nasties may crawl out and get out of control. It's quite clear to me that massively powerful forces have decided to wage a war on humanity at many levels, COVID being just one lever. In the wee small hours those thoughts can get very scary indeed, so there may well a touch of the comfort blanket about this.
