Surprised to see the mention of statins which have not been shown to have any effect on overall mortality as I understand it.

Imagine a society in which everyone was aged 90 or over. of course mortality would be at least one in ten per annum.

In the UK we have known that we were facing a 'time bomb' of older folk for some time: the main reason why it appears to be less severe is the number of younthful immigrants.

In Japan - an aging society - 2020, the highest death rate was recorded in December at approximately 12.6 deaths per thousand population. The month in which the the lowest mortality rate was recorded was the month of June with around 9.8 deaths per thousand people.

In Italy the annual death rate in 2020 reached 12.6 per 1,000 inhabitants, in the UK it was 10.3. (as opposed to 11.9 as recently as 1984)

None of these figures strike me as being particularly shocking, but age banding is crucial.

The question is always how to raise the sleeping dead headed. I teach dozens of ways to manage the body not having anything to do with diet, exercise, Rx or docs. Still they continue to sleepwalk into the buzz saw of the aformentioned land mines and suffer miserably as a result. Hmmm you don't think it's mind control do you?
